I purchased these for my tragus piercings. I was looking for something that wasn’t too flashy and noticeable, and that allowed me to wear ear buds at the gym. I lost two of these within the first 10 days of wearing them. They unscrew very easily, even when installing with needle nose pliers (I tried that method after losing and replacing the first one). The heads are VERY small. I was unable to install them on my own, so I had my husband’s help. I ordered another one after I lost the first one thinking it was just a fluke. I made sure to check them daily after showering to ensure they weren’t loose. Then, while on a long flight to London, I noticed another head fell off. These would be wonderful if the threading were higher quality and they actually stayed in. I’m going to try another Forbidden product with a larger head. Hopefully, the threading is higher quality and they actually stay put.

Alright! Here is the lowdown on these bad boys. I want to rate 5 stars but I feel anyone who isn’t ready to take on the challenge that comes with these needs to just go to their piercer and buy jewelry from them and put it in for them.

I’m used to putting in nose jewelry into my triple forward helix but was tired of them always falling out. So I had been looking for close to a year on fairly priced 18g labret jewelry that came in a set of 3 for less than $20. Amazon saved me. If you know anything about jewelry, an 18g labret is small. I seemed to forget that and enter my hour and a half long struggle to put these in. Don’t get me wrong, putting the actual post in was as easy as putting your socks on. The tiny, tiny, head that screwed in was as hard as my ex trying to please me. I ended up using tweezers and twisting my ear in crazy directions to put it in. If you go to a piercer, 110% they won’t have as many problems as I did but I’m cheap and determined.

I included a picture. Don’t mind my dry skin or the weird angle the top piercing is at due to some idiot that can’t pierce right and yes since I was used to having 20g jewelry in, my ear is a bit inflamed and angry at me with the slightly larger jewelry. They look great once they’re in!!!

Just be prepared for a struggle as they are tiny.

I bought the 18G 6mm labret studs which is the perfect length for the tragus piercing. There’s enough wiggle room so that the stud isn’t tight against your ear, but the bar is small enough to not get in the way or cause discomfort when you have headphones in.

The head is a little small and screwed on very tightly, but I used a pair of tweezer to unscrew the head. It would be easier if you had another pair of hands to help you put the jewelry in, but I did it on my own. I would definitely recommend you or your friend having very short nails, otherwise it would be really hard to grip the head and successfully install the stud.

I have really sensitive ears but this stud has not caused any irritation or inflammation.

Overall I’m really happy with the look and functionality of the stud. Would buy again!

Love this as a nose stud! I'm not going to lie it was ridiculously hard to put in myself but that's mostly because I have obscenely long ¾" fingernails. After 10 minutes of frustration and I was ready to give up I finally got it! I used two pairs of Jewelers pliars to crank it tight after I hand tightened it so it won't fall out like other reviews complain. I hate nose screws because you always see a silver booger and I've gone thru 50+ nose bones because they come out everytime I wash my face or blow my nose or I'll just wake up without it! This is very comfortable, can't feel it at all. It doesn't pull or hurt when I scrub my face. The stone is still in place. I doubt I needed the 3 pack but it's nice just in case.

While they are cute, they took at least an hour to get in.. and I had to have help because (1) my piercing goes so far in my ear and that I had to buy a hemostat and (2) the screw attached to the gem part is so small and SO hard to line up that it is almost near impossible to screw on. If I had not had help to get these in I would have been out of luck. They will not be coming out for a while due to how long it took to get them in.

Update: Gem fell out and in my attempts to get it back in, it fell and now is lost on my floor. I cannot find it and I’m too frustrated to look further. Oh well. It was amazing while it lasted. I’m going to look for the same style of earring, but with a bigger stone so it’s easier to put in.

I’ve been looking for an earring for my cartilage piercing that’s mid-way up my ear for YEARS. I am not one to know the differences between different body jewelries so I wasn’t sure if this would work. I am so happy I took a chance and bought this! It is perfect for my piercing location! I’m just hoping the screw stayed threaded. I’ll update if I have any issues.

Seriously I am in love with this earring. It has a small flat back and feels very comfortable in my ear. I also like that it is small, but not invisible. I personally wear small earrings; the hoops I have on are tiny huggies for reference.

The stud didn't stay screwed in for even a month. I've had earrings that lasted a year or more without being touched. Sadly, the stud came out, and the post fell into my ear canal requiring $350 worth of dr visits to get it out.... My advice is to not use this piercing anywhere that would require a professional to remove it.

I bought these to replace the hoops that I’ve had in my tragus for the past 4 years. I was super excited when they came in, however patience is key when putting the little buggers in. It took me about 5-10 minutes each to put the heads on. I did have to cut my nails down to be able to put them in. The post is a little too long, but that’s ok. They are exactly what I was looking for aside from the length. But if they were shorter I wouldn’t have been able to tighten them without having to go to a shop. My 2 pictures are of one of my left ear (pushed all the way flush on the inside and outside), I have a 2g in my lobe, my 2nd is a 16g and the top one is just a regular earring.

Jeez what a challenge this was to do. Far to small me and my husband spent nearly a hr to screw this on to the bar. We give up in the end to keep our sanity

The back was far too sharp and cut the inside if my lip

Great for a daughters small ears
