I like the tie chain over clips or pins because it allows more movement and doesn't damage the tie. Usually I get the ones that slip over one of the shirt button holes but they are always falling off. This is the best of both worlds. It clips to the shirt quite solidly and still has a chain to allow movement of the tie while keeping it under control.

Longer chain than needed, may shorten. Clip does sag as noted by others. By flattening the alligator clip, it works better, and by positioning it just above a button, it doesn't look too bad.

This works well except the "grip" on the shirt is at the outside end of the clip. This creates a situation where the clip holding the chain rotates and the chain is not "centered" (the poscket side is higher than the other). Other than that it is great since I was always losing the type that slips over a button - which seems to have a natural enemy in car shoulder belts. I wishe they would change the design to where it grips the shirt in the middle of the clip.

Bought this for my husband for Valentine’s Day, he really likes it, it’s his favorite Tie bar… Looks very elegant.

I bought two of these tie chains for my husband, one in the gold color and one in silver. They are nicely weighted, and fasten securely to his shirt front. I had always purchased the "over the button" style before and they would slip off unexpectedly and get lost. I recommend these highly.

I bought this to replace a misplaced one.
Looked Ok but not a tight fit. First windy day walking downtown and it was lost.
Clasp was not tight enough to hold the tie in wind and it was gone.
Do not recommend.

My husband is very happy with this Tie Chain. He had seen one of his coworkers wearing one so he asked me to find one for him. We both are satisfied!

Very nice works better than the ones that slip behind the button, this one stays in place all day.
