A lot of people confused this style chain with a gucci link chain because of the similar anchor link style the chains have. But this mariner link is no Gucci. It's still a nice though. It's lighter in weight than what I was expecting. Very shinny, except in the grooves where the links rest. Nobody will guess it's steel, but it won't pass for anything other than silver if people know their precious metals. It appears strong & sturdy & looks great.

My Dad bought this chain to keep his wedding band on it, as the band is too large. He loves the style and the ability to wear the chain all the time without damage to the chain! Would buy another and recommend as a gift.

TRIED TWO SETS OF THIS NECKLACE. THE NECKLACE IS REALLY NICE SIZE AND WEIGHT BUT BOTH OF THE CLASPS DO NOT CLOSE TOGETHER TIGHTLY. MADE IN CHINA. THE CHINESE MUST LAUGH AT US AMERICANS THAT BUY AND ACCEPT SUB-STANDARD QUALITY. FOR ME, IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. WOULD RATHER PAY MORE FOR BETTER QUALITY. I RETURNED BOTH THE NECKLACE AND BRACELET.

Lots of great bling and nice length and clean look. It does not look to long or "gangsterish". The shine is better than those I have seen with patterns on them, so I would recommend this.Haven't received a compliment yet, but it does have a bold look that accents my neck better than it being bare.

Links are well polished and close to nominal listed width of 10mm but are quite thin and the whole necklace is lighter and less substantial than I expected. The links are only about 2.5mm or .1 inch thick. Good if you want a wide appearance with minimal weight but I prefer a more substantial feel for a relatively wide chain necklace.

This is a cool reminder of when I was in the Navy, wide enough to fit a sailor's virile image (which means, reminiscent of some high seas and welcoming ports.
